It was fantastic to see the important topic of women in the lift industry represented at this year’s Lift & Escalator Symposium.

Gemma’s presentation explored not only how the industry can encourage more women to consider careers within lifts and vertical transportation, but also the importance of creating an environment where women are supported to stay, develop and progress throughout their careers.

At Lester Controls, we were particularly pleased to see two familiar faces, Dawn and Petya, featured within the presentation.

We’re proud of the women who contribute their skills and experience across our business and pleased to support wider conversations around increasing female representation within the lift sector.

Events such as the Lift & Escalator Symposium provide an important platform for the industry to discuss not only new technologies and technical developments, but also the people and skills that will shape its future.
