Founded by John Beresford, Lester Controls was created with a clear vision: to design lift controller systems that are easy to use, dependable and built to last. Our early reputation grew rapidly with the success of our relay-based controllers in the home lift market.
In 1998, we introduced the MP500 – our first microprocessor-based controller – which quickly became an industry favourite with over 4,500 units installed. This pivotal moment marked our transition into more advanced software-driven control solutions, laying the groundwork for the innovations that followed.
